What is your approach to therapy? As your therapist, I bring my authentic self to our work and I aim to help you feel comfortable to do the same, both in our work and in your life outside of therapy. My approach is warm, genuine and holistic, recognizing that effective mental health care involves addressing all aspects of your life. I strive to understand and support not just your psychological state, but also how it interacts with the emotional, physical, and social domains of your life. Each therapy session is empathetic and deeply respectful of your experiences and feelings, creating a supportive space where you can feel safe and understood. I tailor each treatment plan to your unique needs, drawing from a diverse toolbox that includes mindfulness techniques, cognitive-behavioral therapies (CBT), and other evidence-based practices. This integration allows us to not only manage symptoms but also to explore their root causes in a thoughtful and personalized manner. By focusing on mindfulness, I help you cultivate a heightened state of self-awareness and presence, which can transform your approach to daily stresses and challenges. The goal of this personalized and comprehensive approach is to support your journey towards self-awareness and overall well-being. Whether you are navigating complex life transitions, managing anxiety, or seeking to improve your relationships, I am here to guide and empower you, helping you to develop resilience, achieve personal growth, and enhance your quality of life.

How does payment work? There are three types of payments: Private Pay: A client pays out of pocket. Out-of-Network Insurance: A client pays up front and I will issue a receipt for services that you may submit to your insurance provider for out-of-network reimbursement. To understand your coverage benefits, please contact your insurance provider and ask about your out-of-network coverage for behavioral/mental health services. In-Network: I am in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Blue Choice plans. I accept all major credit, debit, FSA, and HSA cards. If you have any further questions about payment or would like to discuss your specific situation, please don't hesitate to reach out.

What can I expect during my first therapy session? In your initial therapy session at Zuckerman Wellness, we focus on creating a comfortable and safe space for you to begin sharing your story. This first meeting is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and discuss your goals for therapy. It serves as the foundation of our therapeutic journey together, where we lay the groundwork for future sessions and start to build a relationship based on trust and understanding.

How often do we meet?Typically, clients and I meet weekly, but we can adjust the frequency of our sessions based on your scheduling needs and other factors. Starting with weekly sessions is common, but we can explore the best schedule to fit your needs. Each therapy session typically lasts for 50 minutes. This allows us to dive deep into our work while respecting your time and commitments.
